Dogleg?

What makes a bow a dog leg and is a Kodiak Hunter considered a dog leg bow?

1963 Kodiak only, three styles that year, here are two of them.

Still not sure what makes them a dogleg.  there are more than just one style dogleg listed in a post below so I guess I am still not sure.

To help you understand and In short.....

The 1963 Bear Archery Bow models are called doglegs for their obvious "dogleg like" handle shapes.
This "Dogleg like" shape can be seen on most all 1963 Bear bow models, not just the Kodiak model as mentioned in a previous post.

They were not called "doglegs" by Bear Archery.

This is what they are referred to by collectors and enthusiasts.

And to answer your other question.
A Kodiak Hunter is NOT a dogleg.

I believe that there were three Magnums, two Grizzlys, one Kodiak and one Cub that were referred to as Doglegs.
