I have shot a few of each, and have to go with the 59  K Special for smoothness, quietness, and accuracy....but both are pretty nice in looks and performance.

Depends on what length your talking.

The 60" Kodiak is a tough one to beat, but the 64" Kodiak leaves much to be desired.  The 64" KSpecial on the other hand is much better behaved.

I go with the '59 K 60", although my 62" special is a smooth performer.
