Help on limb delamination

Hey guys im having a bow emergency... my prize rattle can beauty, 64 Kodiaks' upper limb seems to be de laminating. Im new to collecting old bears so i am not sure what the protocal for something like this might be. This bow is the best bow I have ever shot by far and i dont want to lose her. also I leave it strung all the time and hang it on the wall in the family room if that makes a difference. Help would be greatly appriciated

Sorry to hear about your baby!

A picture or three would be helpful. Some delams are relatively easy to fix, others nearly impossible to get shooting again.

Where on the limb is that sliver? At the fades or further toward the tip? If it is at the fadeout I would superglue it and sand it smooth after thorough dry time. Then re-rattle can it.

It is right as its fading about 4-5 inches below the tip

Those type splinters can be a real pain in the neck.Its super hard to get it to stay glued back down and myself I may have had better luck using epoxy rather then super glue.Eather glue will work.But the epoxy seemed to hold just a little better then the super glue.
Trivia for today and don't fall out of your chairs laughing when you read this.If you were to contact Bear Archery back in the day so to speak.Told them you had a splinter on the edge of your limb.You know what they would tell you to do ? break the splinter off as clean as possible with a pair of needle nose pliers yes its true.....Then they would say to put a little clear finger nail polish over the end of the splinter the prevent snagging it on anything bd

should I sand the paint away as best i can in the area then try a two part epoxy or something of the like?

well if your going to try epoxy I would NOT use that 5 minutes stuff but rather some brand that takes 24 hrs to cure.The reason being the faster the epoxy sets up the harder it will become.The 5 minute epoxy gets kind of brittle with time and may crack bd
