Bear Leather Top Spring Arm

I picked up a Bear Leather Top Quiver recently.
I'm wondering what year this might have been from? It looks like the 4 arrow spring arm was from 65-70, but in looking at the catalogs all of the ones that I see have a darker brown hood. This one has more of a copper color. Does anyone know any more about it?

I believe the springarm quivers started in 1963. I know it is possible to narrow down the years a bit by the silkscreen and the amount of patent info that is listed on the hood. I don't know what year ranges had what info listed though. I am sure someone who does know will stop in soon!

As far as the different colors, I believe the lighter color is simply fading.

Is it possible the anodizing has faded and that is why it looks more copper colored? I don't know if anodizing can fade or not. Just a thought.

I believe the later ones had more patent numbers listed on the silkscreen, but that would only seem to make sense. I have five, and all the copper hoods vary a bit. But, none have the dark leather on top like yours. Mine are all a light brown.

Whip, Good question cause I just learned something myself today...Mine is just like the one on the far left with least amout of Patent numbers and near new condition...Nice quivers...Keefer's <><

I believe the leather all started light tan like the one to the left in my picture. I have a NIB Tape-On (not pictured) and the leather on it is light tan.

Checked the 5 I have and one of them doesn't have a patent # printed on it.

That anodizing can change and fade over time.The leather on that one sure has changed.I have Autumn orange arrows that I bought new,many years ago and there is some fading on them.

How can you tell which one was used for which bows...I have a 59 Kodiak Special I would like to use my quiver on and my quiver has only one patent date on it...Does the patent also demine the size of the quiver and what bows they were intended for? Also where would you measure from? Would you just measure the Quiver or just top to bottom of the spring arm?
