I am looking for info on this model. I thought this was a target model? A friend got one that is 65lbs. That is a little stout for a target bow! Was this a hunting model at some time?
He has offered it to me for a good price?
Thanks,
Tom M

Tom,

The Polar didn't become a target bow until the 60's.

Here's the Early Polar ID Guide I did a while ago:

I still have a rack of them  :)

A 65# polar will smoke an arrow I bet. sounds like a fun bow.How long is it?

Thank You Jeremy,
I have not seen the bow yet, next Thursday at school. Your guide should help. As for shooting I want to see the bow first. I have no idea what shape it is in. I do know it came from the upper East Coast area.Even if I do not buy it finding out about the bow is fun.
