Was if anyone can show picture to see the difference between SOW Belly 1958' KODIAK & NON SOW Belly ? Was the Sow Belly just on 58' Kodiaks or did it include 1957' Kodiaks as well.

                   Thanks

Tom,
The early '58s were identical to the '57 with the exception of the white glass.  Then they changed desings early in '58 to the sow belly where the belly of the riser curved towards the shooter instead of away from the shooter as in the '57.

I have a question to add to this...on the picture above, the top bow has a little dot on the top stripe.  What is that?

I just came across a '57 or '58 and it has a really small hole in that exact same spot.

So this would be a '58 "non" sowbelly, correct?

'58 Chuck, sorry.

Carlos, that spot is where the Maple lams are spliced.

I believe yours is non.

Yes yours is a 57 if it has the dark brown glass.
Most if not all the early bows were spliced under the handle. When they came out with the 59 model and it did not have the leather, they went to a single lamination.
