when was it made

i just refinished a bear kodiak mag,and gave it to my cousin.now he wants to know what year it was made.bear kodiak mag 52" 57#@28" serial #7u8826.any of you bear collectors got any info.thanks,steve

I'm thinking 1967 by the serial #.
