OK...i tried to do a little research before asking the question but since i'm new at collecting these i thought i would ask the experts.

Here is my question.  What year where these 3 Mag Risers manufactured (Does the serial number help at all?):

B Mag - Serial Number B-0379 with little bears on latch and colored latch section.  Based on what i have been able to tell after looking at the Bear catalog CD...i'm guessing 1971 or earlier.

B Mag -(Victor Kodiak - i never heard anyone referr to them as anything other than Mag A/B or C riser.  I also learned that the orginal catalog that introduced the Mag in 1970 just listed them as A or B Mags and they added the Victor Kodiak and Victor Magnum in latter year catalogs).  Serial Number B-7117 with plastic bear emblem.  not sure of orginal color it was painted black when i got it.

A Mag - (Victor Magnum) Serial Number A-7845 - it has plastic bear emblem and comes in Masai Brown.  Based on the catalog the first year that color was offered was in 1974...so i'm guesing either 1974 or latter.

Thanks in adavance of sharing your knowledge!!!

Either no one knows the answers to my questions (which i doubt) or I've pissed everyone off by asking stupid questions......this is about the 3rd time i've posted a question on the Trad History/Collecting page and got no resposes.

so what is it i'm asking stupid questions or no one knows anything about Bear bows?

I don't think you pissed anyone off, and there is no such thing as stupid questions here.  That's how you learn.

Unfortunately I am no Garu on Mag risers, but there are those here that are.

Generally speaking you will get more results with pictures posted.   It's kinda like "Playboy"...these guys don't like to read the articles as much as we like looking at the pictures.

If you are technologically challenged like I am, there are those here that you can e-mail pictures and they will post them for you.

I am originally from Houma, LA

Sorry I could't be more help.

Good luck

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.
