Danny out of the 100 or so 1960 Kodiaks I've worked on or handled yours is 1 of only 3 purple heart ibeam 1960 I've ever seen.Rare and a good draw weight too...great bow bd

Danny Rowan

Thanks for all the information guys and the kudos. I cannot wait to shoot her and yes, Felix, I will be hunting with her, gonna be shooting some Sweetlands out of her with Bear heads from the 60s and will be toting the arrows in a Jerry Hill back quiver.

bowdoc, I did not know that the purple heart window was rare in a 60. Learn something new every day. Believe me I was overjoyed to get it, especially at draw weight and the price I got it for.

Got the bow today and my heart almost stopped when I picked it up, the lower limb tip was punched through the box. Thankfully it does not appear to be damaged, only a couple of scuffs. The guy did not pack it well at all. Why do people ship fine bows like this, I always completel wrap any bow I ship totally in buble wrap, this one had a couple of bubble wrap baggies thrown over each tip and that was it! Not even taped on.  This could have been a disaster, guess the good lord was watching it for me.
