I picked up a 66 inch Special that I believe to be a '57 model, it is missing the top tip overlay.
  Any one have a extra overlay laying around that needs a good home?
  Also, it says x44#,so I look behind the strike plate to see if there is a weight marking,and to my surprise, it had been hollowed out and filled with shards of wood and filler,and glue. sound like a factory repair?
