Would a 55 Kodiak Special be worth restoring? It needs tips. Thank you.

About any bow that will send an arrow is worth bringing back to service. Jim

All you are going to get here are opinions-we need more info to give better opinions. Tips are easy to replace-what is the rest of the bow like?
Why do you want to restore it-use it or sell it?

I want to restore it to use, not to sell. The finish of the bow is bad. I don't know if someone tried to restore it before or what. The bow is in really good shape except for finish and the tips. Where can I buy material for the tips? Been reading Bowdoc restoration 101 and I can restore the finish with no problem. My biggest worry is replacing the tips. I shot the bow without the tips on it. I know I probably shouldn't have done that. It shoots great without the tips. Will try to get pics on here later today. Also does anyone know where I can get the decals to replace or should I leave the original decals on the bow?

Bjorn

Shooting the bow without tip material is fine if done infrequently. The overlays are mostly decorative.
Kurtbel who posts on here has some tip o'lay material.
Try to work around the stickers/decals if you can. No idea who sells new ones.
Lets see some pics.
