It's a BAD deal!!!

Jim, send me this person's info so I can buy them and make sure they are properly disposed of. =0)

I'd hit it if the seller is reputable.

Just so you know, the 1953 is the Canadian patent date, not the date the bow was made.

No comment on the price without knowing the condition of the bows and the reputation of the seller.

If you can live with that price and plan to use them it then it's a good deal. If you are buying the to sell later you should post some pictures and show ser. # and someone on here will be able to tell you a fair pice.Good luck.

Sounds good, if the bows are in fairly good condition. I would not buy enything thou without seeing good nubers of pictures braced and not from different angles...of course hand on testing would be best thing to do...

The Alaskan was introduced in '58, the KHunter in '67.  Depending on which year they are the price is high IMO.

Any pics?

Based upon "average" condition, I would pass since a bit too much.  We actually need more details to give a better opinion.

I saw them on craigslist. I normally don't buy bows, I just don't know their worth.

I picked up a light weight Alaskan yesterday in really nice shape for $30 along with a couple of other older Bears. Actually, he also had a Kodiak Hunter in factory camo that he offered to sell me for $75 too. It wasn't what I would call a collectable one though.
