Son got to see first deer from stand

I took my 5 year old son with me yesterday and he got to see his first deer up-close.  We bumped one getting into the stand and it didn't act too spooked and didn't blow or anything, but my son didn't see her.  After about 10 minutes, I hit the fawn bleat and she walked out and around and came within 10 yards of us. I'm right handed and the doe came up on my right side with its head up and I never got the chance to draw on her.  He was tickled to see his first deer in an actual hunting situation though.  I started hunting at about 14 without any help and without huge deer populations and told him I  didn't see my first deer in a stand until I was about 20.
