Looking for info as to the year that the Mamba I just aquired was Built? (Looks Old) It says sharpshooter 20 on it, (in light green lettering). It also has a 39 stamped above shelf, with s233 just below the 39. Three colors of wood,Black, dark brown, light brown. Reddish glass on one side and green glass on the other.

                                   Thanks

that should be a 68" bow? does it have a 50 something lettered in a small circle?
the mamba line, hunter, highspeed, sharpshooter, etc. were some of the first recurves damon built. pretty straight limb with almost a static recurve on the first generation, modified to a more gentle shorter recurve on later models.
only damon or t.j. stewart were bowyers during that time frame. lacquer finish by edna howatt, skived leather grip by ted donnelson.

Thanks for the Reply! It is aprox 66" long unstrung. I don't see any circles with 50 in them. The grip look like one piece of leather, wrapped around, a little over 4" long. It is a pretty straight bow other than the tips curve around 4" to 5".I really like the black wood how it comes to almost a point just above the grip.I got it, a Root targetmaster(nice also) and a 52? Cub for a Hundred.
