I hope the pics are size legal.  Not sure on how to edit size.  Mods, If they are too big, please delete, and I'll have to figure out the resizing thing.  Thanks.

Aren't the blue stripes indication of 1975?

TRAP

Michael, What color are the tip overlays?

Trap
"If you don't like change, you're going to like irrelevance even less" Gen. Eric Shinsheki

"If you laugh, and you think, and you cry, that's a full day, that's a heck of a day." Jim Valvano.

The Great Jashu

I went through all the catalogs on my CD and 73-75 were all blue stripes with white overlays. 76 and 77 both had green colored overlays with the blue stripe. So without question your bow having the white overlays, it is a 73, 74 or 75. No good way of nailing it down any better than that as far as I know. The serial numbers arent much help as they started over or didnt have much reason to them that I can determine. I have a buddy that worked in the bowroom at Bear Archery in 1975 and will ask him tomorrow how they determined the serial numbers.

Great bow you have there anyway, and its a good representative of the bows built in 75.

The tips overlays are green.  I posted earleir that they were white.(in the post that got deleted)  I was going off of memory, and I thought they were white for some reason.  I made the trip out to the shop to make sure, and sure enough the are green.

SOOO, I guess it is a 76 or 77 by the blue stripe w/ green overlays.

Thanks for your responses.

It seems Bear didnt have the best serial #'s.

agreed--'73-'75

In '72 KH's were made of exoctic wood-shedua and buginga.

In '76, the overlays on front of the grip were colored futurewood like the tips.

The Great Jashu

Yeah I did'nt make that "overlay" thing specific. 73-77 all had the futurewood "tip" overlays. The handle overlays are what I was refering to. Your bow is definitly in the 73-75 class.

Gotcha, I thought you were say the tip overlays.  :knothead:    I'm alittle thick headed sometimes.

Thanks guys.  I just my have my desired 1975 bow after all.
