Something that shot thru my head this morning.

My collection isn't the biggest but I have aquired some quality piece's over the years. Does homeowners insurance cover 100% replacement if bows are destroyed or stolen? Is it an advantage to have a rider added to my current policy? Never really thought about it till this morning. Anyone cross this bridge yet?

Thanks!

Hi JL nope 90% of them do not cover bows unless you get special coverage.Rich will know the answer to this one I bet.I do know you can purchase very good insurence from N.R.A.They do have coverage for firearms and archery tackle.Kind of cheapish too if your a member.bowdoc

JL - Talk to your insurance agent after you have made a list of the items you want to insure. Insurance companies are different. I have my collection insured through my homeowner's policy.

There was a good thread about this several weeks ago.

JL,

special items, especially those difficult to replace, are usually handled by your agent on a schedule, or rider of some sort.

It is mostly dependent on the carrier your independent agent has you with...that's why you do business with an independent agent instead of a "captive" agent working for one carrier: your needs change, and so your agent, when he represents many different carriers can change your coverage by moving to a different carrier that most meets your particular requirements.

Talk to your agent.
