NA-PO BOWYERS ????? Anyone Familiar this Vintage Company

Let me do some digging, The NA-PO was as very popular bow in the mid to late 50's. I believe Fay Schoners (spelling?) won the Nationals with one around 1956 or 57. Fay was a member of the club I belonged to in Modesto, Calif. I can remember many of the top shooters using that make.

I looked for several hours today trying to find information on the NA-PO. I could not find an ad for them. I did find a Picture of the lady I spoke of she won the nationals in 1959 and the bow she is holding does not look like a NAS-PO. Sorry I could not be of more help.

I don't think it was made by Hugh. I remember a lot of NA-PO's being used in central and northern California in the Mid to late 50's. I did run across an ad by Potter Macquarrie that they carried NA-PO bows that ad was in an issue Archery magazine in 1958. I would bet that Tim Meigs could give you more info on this as he was very active in Field archery during that period. He's usually not in his shop until afternoon anymore, but give him a call.

Here is a little more information on NA-PO bows they were first made in Oregon The company was owned by ? Nash and Bob Poppe. They moved to Oakland, Calif and Bob Poppe bought out Nash. They made a lot of bows for Hugh Rich, instead of Hugh building them of NA-PO. The Baleen bows were probably made in Oregon. And the Baleen was probably obtained from Glenn St Charles, I would call Glenn and see what he knows.
