Well boys after looking for a while I finally found a Shrew that needed a home. I went to K-Zoo today for the second time this weekend with a friend. I was shooting some bows when I picked up a Super Shrew Deluxe. I shot it and fell in love. I asked Ron LaClair's wife if the bow was for sale and she said it was but did not know the price and Ron was in a seminar. I told her I would keep an eye out for him and check back later. She told me that another guy was also interested in the same bow. Well I seen Ron come back to his table and when I got down there the other guy was standing there also waiting for Ron. I asked the price and asked if he was for sure going to buy the bow and he said he was. My heart sank. I checked back with Ron later and he told me that the only bows he had left were a couple that were already sold and a couple of his lefties. I picked up the SS Recurve Prototype and he told me that was the only one that he was willing to sell that was left. After spending a lot of time shooting it and wandering around thinking it came home with me. I love this bow. This is the bow that he had all the guys at Shrew Haven try out before they were offered to the public. I am very happy that I had went back today. And here she is...

Good mojo with that bow. It bagged a couple of deer at Shrewhaven (one by me) during the test phase.

The specs are 54" long and 54#@27".  The brace height Ron told me should be around 7-7.5".

I'm about 2 weeks into my year long wait. I have 2 coming. One for me and one for the little lady.

I can't wait for my new Clasic Hunter to get here as well. I don't know why I have waited till now to buy a Shrew?

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

JC

My zircote and zebrawood supershrew was passed around at K'zoo, much to my honor. Hope to have it here near the end of the week...pics to follow for those that didn't get to see her in MI.

I sold my previous one to Vance (ironbull) only because he fell in love with it and he's my bro....that's the only reason I don't have one on my rack right now. One of the few bows I've shot that I will always own, no matter what else is on the rack....they are that good.

Yes I did see your bow and a beautiful one it is!

I'm with JC on this one; I have some fine bows on the rack and if the mood strikes me I might swap or sell one but never the Shrews {I have both of Super Shrew Golds}. Tom

Here's the other bow Tim.

I walked around the expo for a few hours looking at different bows.  Then I stopped at Ron's booth and asked to try out the Super Shrew Deluxe.  It was a 58" 55# @28".  About my size I figured.

I headed over to the range and I'll tell you I wanted it bad after the first 3 shots!  Couldn't get over how smooth it shot.  The grip fit perfect, it was light in the hand and shot so smooth I could hardly believe it was only a 58" bow.

Chortdraw

He sure makes some great bows. He makes "SHORT" work! And he can shoot good.
