I found out that this broadhead was made in Pa. back in 1957 and was wondering if anyone would know around what it would be worth. I heard between $70-$100.

Did you epoxy-lock those blades? That's not so wise as far as collectors value is concerned - BUT - in any case this thing is RARE! You should better apply some weapons oil to prevent further rusting. And DONT shoot that baby!

It seems to be the most common one that you have, but even that is only about 3 dz. all together!
Last one I've seen at the auction site had a minimum bid of $375.-      
It didn't sell BTW, so you can suppose yours is not worth that much in any case. But maybe $200?! Who knows?! Keep it! Admire! Enjoy!

It is on an arrow that I made for show only. It's not epoxied at all. Just pushed on.

Ah - I see! From your picture I thaught I recon epoxy or something at the ferrule tip and back of blades. Sort of optical illusion    

The ferrule tip in yours looks square and would make this one ABCC #1004
If the ferrule tip is somewhat crimped to the blades it would be #1005. Less then 2 dz. known in the hard core collecting community.

I checked my archive and have to say: yours looks pretty well preserved compared to what I've seen! Given two Nuts who start a fight about it, you might add $100 to what I've said above! A really good find

Your head is ABCC# 1004. a nice, hard to find , head for a collector. I have the same head in my collection.

Well, I suppose they have sold only very few otherwise it wouldn't be a rare one. But a patent was issued, so there was at least a plan to get rich by selling it!? Anyhow, it was a "functional failure" I would guess.

The head was made by Armand A. Neri 1957. There were three variations of heads. Yours would be the aluminum ferrule which should be stamped:QUADREAD PAT. PEND. One of the most unusual bleeder blades ever produced. Not real common head but not as rare as some may think either. Good addition to the collection. This head was commonly called the Quadred not Quadread as it was spelled.

wadde, It is stamped: QUADREAD PAT.PEND. Falk, there is some Ferr-Tite hot melt on the broadhead where some one had bonded it to an arrow at one time. I'm not a broadhead collector someone gave me a small box that had 2 broadheads and some old nocks and feathers in it and this Quadread head was in there. Still trying to find out if someone would want to buy it what would be a fair price.

Hi Craig,I believe Falk is correct.I would list it on that auction sight???? and let the feeding frinzzy begain.That is a somewhat rare head,not as rare as some but rarer then many.I see Joe St.listed several great collectable heads yesterday.Maybe hopeing for good holiday sale prices.Strike while the iron is hot.bd
