White Special Bow History?

I may have the opportunity to purchase a "White Special" working recurve bow. The limbs have "maple cores, ultrabac and glasface construction with walnut overlays and a glass reinforced plastic handle" from sources I have checked to date. It is 60" long and has a 39# draw weight at 28". As far as I can determine this bow was made in 1956 by the Wilson I. White Mfg. Co. Also, the business was purchased from Eicholtz Bows by Wilson I. White. I would appreciate any information on the history of these companies and the bow. Is it a collectable bow? - what would be a fair price to pay for it? It appears to be in very good to excellent condition.

White Special new in 1956 was 49.50, they called it Ultrabac construction with glass reinforced plastic handle and walnut tips. The key is the 60 inch length. They made other longer model bows also in earlier years.

Thanks wadde for another piece of the puzzle. I have also learned that Frank Eicholtz may have had the the business that Wilson I. White purchased. As I understand it, Frank Eicholtz was the first to use fiberglass on bow limbs in the mid 1970's? I will add your info. to what I have and I will probably get the bow if the price is right.
