I've got a bunch of questions on shooting form. I'll deal with one here but I'll ask the others one at a time on future posts to keep things simple.

Occasionally when I'm shooting the lower limb of my bow (recurve or longbow) will come back and hit me on the thigh. It's not a slow tip over like you see with an olympic shooter but a very quick reaction. I've got a two part question re this.

1) What could I be doing form wise to cause this?
2) What is the bow doing (probably as a result of my form) to cause this? ie, is one limb completing it's cycle before the other?
Old doesn't start until you hit three figures...and then it's negotiable

SHOOTO8S

Olympic shooters control bow reaction with stabilizers .......barebows with no added weight won't often react the same.

If the issue only happens occasionally .....it's probably not the bow . First thing I'd check would be bow hand..either grabbing at the bow or tensing the forearm at release. Most guys don't think their grabbing the bow...but slomo video often tell a different story  :)
