New to traditional archery, and I need to work on form, ASAP. I feel hunched over and that I cant my bow too much. This is, however, coming over from shooting a compound, so I really don't know if I am doing this or not. I seem to shoot better the more I lean into the bow to aim while I cant, but I haven't shot enough to know for sure.

My question is this: what are your recommendations for a good instructional book or DVD series to help me with form and where can I get it?

I ordered Become the Arrow the other day, and I haven't received it yet. I have tried looking on YouTube, but I don't get a very good connection out here where I live, so half of the videos don't load. I am shooting a Samick Sage at 45lbs. I have been told that there are plenty of shooters in my area, but I don't know who they are and the nearest pro shop that doesn't look at me funny when I mention traditional tackle is 1.5 hrs away. I'm on my own here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Marshrat - search this forum for posts by Moebow and RangerB.  They have links to their YT videos that should be of a lot of help to you.  They're worth the download time.

Just because you are passionate about something, doesn't mean you don't suck at it.

If you want to buy one I would pick up a copy of masters of the barebow 3. Lots of good info on there and almost the entire DVD focuses on form.

I would recommend any of G.Fred Asbell's DVD's along with longbow 101 by Byron Ferguson and all of the Masters of the barebow DVD's. I even have an old VHS of Paul Brunner's that takes you step by step on how to shoot.

Ordered Master of the Barebow III yesterday. Along with many, many other things.
