Hey all,

I have read all the posts i can find in the search on a cure for the string hitting my face and yet i can't find relief.

i have went from a dynamic release to a static, i turn my head, etc. i am only drawing a 43# curve so i am far from being overbowed.

only thing i have not tried is using a glove. i shoot 3 under with a 3rivers cordovan tab. would a glove help?

thanks in advance

btw i tied my nock sets above and below nock with thread, so the brass nock isn't the problem.

Noah - I had the occasional string scrape across the end of my nose when I anchored with my middle finger in the corner of my mouth.  I recently moved my anchor point upward and outward with my middle finger now anchoring on my cheekbone.  My reasons for changing to this anchor point had nothing to do with my nose, it was just a side benefit.  Everyone's facial features are different so what works for one, might not work for another.

I cannot shoot a tab for that very reason.  Not sure as to why but wanted to shoot a tab to see if it provided a smoother release and found myself gettin whacked in the nose or cheek pretty regularly.  I do not have that problem with a glove.  Good luck!

the damascus glove is pretty thin and gives you good feel on the string,  fingers will be a little sore at first but you get used to it.  They wear out quicker though. They make a glove that has cordura on the fingertips that wears like iron and is said to be a nice glove although I dont know the name of it.  One word of advice try to go somewhere you can try a couple on, they all fit differently and I dont recommend buying one through the mail unless you have already had a similar one and know how the sizes run.  Good Luck!

team fudd, I think the glove you're talking about is a Dura-Glove. I have one of them myself, it shoots very well.
