I made a formmaster today but am having an issue with it.  When I release the bow string the formmaster string drags across my face and does not feel well.  I have the cord below the nock point and am shooting three under.

There should be a little freeplay in the cord...about an inch or two. It might be your alignment that is causing the problem. You might be plucking the string in anticipation and this throws the string off course...i.e. into your face...OUCH!

When I put my fingers on the string there is about an inch of slack.  I will keep working on it.  Maybe it is my face alignment and my fat face getting in the way.

snag

Do you cant your bow? I find that if I cant my bow at about 1-2 o'clock then I never get string rash.

Well I just made it about an inch longer and shot.  Wow that one hurt.  I do cant my bow, it must be my head alignment.  When I shoot, my bow arm does not move much and I do not collaps on the shot.  I am happy I did not spend money on this face hurting tool. lol.

Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

A safety tip you should wear some safety glasses incase the formaster string snaps and whips back hitting you in the eye.If you buy the formaster they recommend safety glasses when using it.

lpcjon2, I did read that page and that is where I got the directions for the formmaster.  Thanks JRY309 for the safety tip.
