I have noticed that I shoot better with arrows that fly in the 170fps range.  Anything more than that and I have a hard time seeing the arrow in flight unless I move way back. Anyone else experience this?

I shoot better with arrows that give me a more reasonable gap to judge at average target distance.I've never thought about being able to see or not see the arrow in flight. The way I look at it is that when I can see the arrow, it's too late to do anything about it anyway.

I think Jon is talking about using trajectory and arrow flight to adjust his shooting... not necessarily on "that" shot... but during practice and such..

Jon..I think there is definitely something to that if you aren't a gapper...well..like RH said, even if you are a gapper...it makes your gap easier at closer distances...

I say whatever helps you shoot better is fine.I just ment that for myself,I think I rely more on what the sight picture looks like before the shot.

Just don't get your form off by trying to peek.

You should'nt watch your arrow in flite to the target. This isn't good forum.Alot of people like to see that arrow fly to it's target. And some people can do this even though they should'nt others this ends up in bad habbits.Don't do anything untill the arrows in the spot you looked at.Good fourm means good shooting.
