I continue to have problems with my arrow hitting the outside edge of the shelf. This bow is driving me crazy and is about to turn into a piece of firewood. I have changed the length of the arrow, knock height and gone to 50 grain inserts and I can not get this bow to shoot clean & consistently. It changes from day to day what other problems pop up as well. One day the bow will shoot like a dart. The next day I hear a clank and the arrow porpoises. The next day no clank and just a porpoise. I can see were the arrow is wearing on the edge of the shelf and the outside edge of the "Bear Hair" pad. I can also see wear on my crested arrow. Maybe it is my release. I am truly puzzled and frustrated. My setup is below.

Palmer 62" 52#@30 (I draw about 29")
30.5" Gold Tip xt 5575
125 gr field point
5" feathers
I shoot three under
String Silencers

Your arrows are too stiff.Add weight up front.I'd start with 150gr.point.

Double carbon limbs.....brace height 7/78. I just find it hard to believe the arrows are to stiff. I used to own a diff Plamer and it was pretty much the same bow and 55/75 shot perfect out of it.

How are the nocks fitting the string?

They are not tight but not loose.

So you're drawing about 48#s, have any 200pts you could shoot?

Try shooting with the cock vane in.   I have a Palmer and it works for me.

Howdy Bob. Nice to see you here.

Try bumping your nock point up. Mine likes a high nock point. I shoot split @ 7/8"
More point weight should help too.
