I would like to see lots of pics as well...along with the woods used. Lots of threads on Mike's bows...but the photobucket issues wiped out all the pics.

I'm curious if he makes a take down and what type of system is used. Wonder how long he make them too.

He does have his own takedown system some kinda hinge I think ?? I know for sure he makes some bows out to 64 inches

I shoot one of Mikes Black Forest bows, 60", I also have a 66" Back to Basic and a 56" Black Swamp. You might say I like Treadway bows. Mike also makes a 3 piece takedown called the Black Rock and a 2 piece bow also. The Black Forest is my favorite. The craftsmanship is second to none and you won't find a finer person to deal with Give him a call

I have a 50# black swamp. I love it. Smooth shooting and beautiful wood colors. Don't know how to post pics here.

Mike has invented 4 or 5(maybe more) different take down systems. All work great. BW has used at least one and I think Tomahawk also used one or more.
You'll never regret getting a Treadway bow.
I got my Treadway back in 1999, it was the next to the last of his old style he made and it still is as good as the day I bought it.

Treadways are tops.  Built as nice as any Blacktail and shoot like a Centaur.  Can't go wrong.

Great bows......great guy. I like his "Back to Basics" 66" longbow.

Here's my Black Swamp, 62", 38# @ 28". Was shooting for 40# @ 30". Cocobolo and satinwood riser, bamboo cores, curly Birdseye maple limb veneers.
Mike sure makes a fine bow.

If you really want a Treadway bow, C'mon down and spend a bit of time with Mike. You will remember and value  that time far beyond your assessment of a bow.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I have had the pleasure of making 2 trips to Mikes shop.  A true humble gentleman that I cherish each trip.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of Mike Treadway's models. They all shoot great.  He is also one heck of a guy to sit down and talk to. Always enjoy my visits with Mike.

Last I spoke with Mike, several years ago, he was only taking orders from previous customers...seemed like he was winding down a bit. I really enjoyed my Blackforest longbow--beautiful work! And, a really great person. Mike made it for me from a juniper tree I cut high in the Rockies not far from where I lived at the time. UPS was surprised to ship a bare log, bark and all.

Lots of speed in Mike's bows, too. After a few shoulder surgeries, that was the last bow I finally sold, if you have it, drop me a line.
