What would a 2017 easton arrow convert to in carbon spine? Is there a chart readily available

YOU SURE IT'S A 2017?
Been a while since I played with Al shafts...but I don't remember them and they don't show in the charts.

if it's a 2117... going by the charts looks like around a 300-340 spine.

2016 and 2018's look like about a 400

I'm not sure what peoples' experience has been with that chart...if it works good or not....

Yah, Ive never heard of 2017's either.

But to answer your question. Do a search for:

"3 rivers arrow chart"

in google and there is a pdf download that pops up I use that one all the time. It seems pretty good as a starting point.

Just remember that the larger diameter of aluminum vs carbon will result in a different dynamic spine due to greater centershot as a result of the larger arrow diameter.

And a 2117 is a .400 spine.
I still have a bunch laying around unused.

2016 = ~500 spine
2117 = ~400 spine

I'm a big fan of 2117, great off modern FF bows in the low to mid-50s. My #54 Zipper Zipstick lives them.

I find you can't compare aluminum spines with carbon spines.Because they react differently,you can get close for a starting point.

I shoot 2117's from my Kodiak. I recently found a dozen xx78 Super Slams in 2117 at a local archery shop. Won't last forever, but what the hell.

Love the SuperSlams, aka XX78 or X7.
Harder alloy than XX75 so more bend resistant.
I had a dozen and a half XX75 listed for sale but never got an interest. Might be a web and flow in interest.

I've not seen the durability issues folks like to bemoan when aluminum come up. I shot one squarely into my 2x4 target frame yesterday, pulled it out and kept shooting with no issues. Plus its fairly common to run across them for $30-35 a dozen, I buy them when I see them cheap and have 8-10 dozen on the shelf.

X2 on not comparing aluminums to carbons. The charts lately seem to overspine at all draw weights. As for durability they don't like rocks no matter what shaft you use. I took out some AO 2020's that had never seen the lite of day. Missed a target and bent one. Rocks and Desert are not arrows friendly.
If you decide to use aluminum learn how to straighten them. Tools these days seem limited but you can salvage a bent arrow as long as it's not kinked
