Asbell Wool

I am looking a the Pathfinder from Asbell wool. Living in eastern WA I can go from desert to Alpine when hunting. If I want to buy only one pattern which one would you Asbell Wool guys purchase.

I'm a fan of Montana Magic because I think its versatility works well in multiple environments and seasons, here in the east.  Evening Stand Brown is my next choice.

In your described terrain, I would consider Timber Ghost. I use it treestand hunting here in the east and it works wonderfully.

I have several pieces of Asbell wool. Two are patterns that are not in the current lineup. One piece is the Grey Longhunter. The last is the Timber Ghost. All work well. In my opinion, the pattern of choice is not significant, unless it contrasts with your back ground enough to make you blatantly stand out. However, if choosing only one pattern, I would take the Timber Ghost.

I have two and both are green I live in Northeastern CA 60 miles north of Reno NV it has similar terrain to where you live.

My vote is for Evening Stand Brown. I have several of the Asbell wool pieces ad it is the one that makes me most "invisible".

I bought the Timberghost for late season treestand hunting...the lighter pattern virtually disappears down here. Ive always been an advocate of lighter patterns

I can see the timberghost pattern being very versatile. I have a friend who uses the fall grey predator camo and he dang near disappeared into the brambles.  The colors of the timberghost could achieve the same effect. While it's a different color (Northern Lights), I purchased a Pathfinder pullover after I filled my bow tag and after sitting with a friend later in the fall, I will definitely be using it next season!

I have used the Evening Stand Brown with great success from the Brazos river valley northwest Texas for spot and stalk hogs, to NW Colorado above 10,000 feet, run and gun elk, to November hardwoods and marshes in WI from both tree stands and ground hunting, and all autumn and winter in Eastern Hardwoods and mountains of VA and WV.  I would also readily use the timber ghost, and just plain grey if I had them.

Piggyback a little if I may.  Hunt in North Florida, South Georgia, I don't like being cold.  What weight is recommended for stand hunting with Merino base layers?

Awesome man.  Glad to hear it.

Things are pretty good.  Still getting over some health issues, but moving in the right direction.

Still shooting bows all the time and hunting deer and pheasants as much as I can.

Learning how to shoot a stickbow now because I needed a new challenge.

I think Timber Ghost is the most versatile pattern. I have used it everywhere from Wyoming to Michigan with great success.
