Feather rest question

When measuring your nock point using a feather rest, do you still measure from the shelf or from the top of the feather rest?

I measured on top of the feather rest,not the shelf for my nock point.

Once you have good flight with correct nock point height just measure from the same place every time. I don't think where you measure from is as important as using the same place so you can repeat its location.
