turkeys without blinds?

Any spring turkey hunters who have consistent success without using a blind? I have shot 3 fall birds without a blind and had a few tough shots at spring birds, but find it difficult to hide my drawing movements in natural blinds.

Some people do it, But they are much better about concealing movement than I am!  I have managed one shot without a blind and I was hiding deep in some greenbriar.  I had to rise up a little to get the shot off and managed to do so but still miss.

It's difficult but not impossible. Hopefully they'll come in strutting.  If they turn while strutting they won't be able to see you draw.  I was able to draw and release on this guy without him seeing me.

I've done it, although saying I'm consistent would be a stretch. Drawing is tough, but I've had good success with a Hidden Draw bow blind.  (Basically a small camo shield that attaches to your bow)  It works amazingly well and I've killed a few turkeys with it.

The other tough part is holding still for long periods when turkeys are close and hang out forever.  I'm actually sitting in a blind right now and have had a hen in and around my decoys for the past half hour.  If I wasn't in the blind I'd be getting pretty tired of holding still for so long right about now.  And I wouldn't be posting on Trad Gang.      

Going blindless sure is exciting though, and I'm sure I'll be doing some of it again this spring!

leafy  suit helps for sure....I have taken one gobbler without a blind ..10 yards in the shade wearing a rancho safari top and grey wool pants.. no matter how you take a turkey with trad equipment it is exciting though. Took one this year at 16 yards from a blind...

Once. The only one actually. Set up where a couple toms had to go behind a large diameter tree. I drew as the second one went behind tree and released as he showed himself. 15 yard shot.
