I want to make my handle into a high wrist handle what can I use to do this?

You could get some leather and wrap it to give more of a heel to the grip. Shawn

I'd start with double sided tape to see if you like it.  

You could also use the shoe soles pretty easily to build up the palm of your grip.   Tape it on and shoot it to see if it's for you.  If not, take the tape off and viola you're back to where you started with no damage to the bow.

If you like it, glue on some wood pieces and file them to shape, then cover with whatever grip material you like.

You dont however have to do this, you can shoot a bow with a high wrist without having a highwrist grip on the bow.  Case in point would be doing so on a HH style longbow.

I have used a bicycle intertube.  Fill in under it until uou get the desired elevation.  When you find what you like by stacking leather or cork or wood, you can use epoxy like bondo to finalize.  the intertube does give a nice grip. Double sticky tape with cork layers would also work. I mihgt have to try that sometime-good idea, AkDan. Cork files easy that's whay I use it.  I think you can get the cork that molds handles fron FS arrows in CA

That was my thought also,if ya build up for the heel of your hand,aren't ya just puttin pressure lower on the grip?

I tried putting a layer of tape on the handle to protect everything and bought some J B Weld putty. After mixing the putty together put on a rubber glove for your own protection and grip the bow how you want it with the putty in your hand, it only takes a few minutes to harden enought that you can put it down and allow it to dry overnight. There you have a custom fit handle. Remove the tape and put the handle back on and give it a try. I used bicycle innertube for covering it all up.

maybe maybe not Kenny, depends on the shooter.  To get the effect of a high wrist grip, you dont want the pad of hand pushing down though a high wrist grip on a bow migh be more comfortable to shoot then say the HH straight grip in this method.

I might add that it sounds funny to build it up with two sided tape.  I ment to use two sided tape with whatever  you want to build it up with so it's no permanent.  If the grip doesnt feel right you can peel the hole thing off and not be out a thing.

I remember my first experience with Asbells book.  My first recurve was purchased, I was all of 15 at the time and had spent 180 bucks on a new howatt hunter off the bow shop floor.  Stopped by home depot, bought a 4 sided file and went to town on the shelf.  There was no way to get the arrow closer to my hand then without filing.   She shot GREAT!!! Right up to the point it broke (not due to the filing job).   I remember asking myself if she would have shot great without me filing on it.  I have to say my finish job really stunk at the time   .  Ugly but effective.
