I am looking to buy some carbon arrows soon and am looking for suggestions.  There are a couple parameters that I would like to stay within; I am looking for an arrow I can shoot out of several bows with minor tuning between each.  I shoot right around 55-70# @27" in my own BBO's. My personal reason for switching to carbon is not having to buy a different set of arrow shafts for each bow I make(that and they are more consistent). I'm also looking to be able to jack the weight up to around 11-12 gpp. Is it possible to get an arrow that fufills this? I am very open to suggestions. Thanks for the help! Cheers, Matt

CE Heritage 350 are 12gpi & are durable, consistant shafts. You might need the 250 which are 11 gpi. I like not having to front load weight or tubes & such to get the heavy hunting arrows I like.

I would take a look at some tapered shafts.I haven't tried them but from what I've heard you can shoot the greatest range of weight with the same arrow.55-70 with the same arrow is asking a lot unless you don't mind loading the point weight on the lower weight bows.

Give the Arrow Dynamics a try. I would imagine the AD Trad Lites are probably the most versatile although I've always been partial to the AD Trads. I know that you can get them from Raptor Archery in the Sponsor List. Good luck.

Shawn- These bows have cut in shelves(not selfbows). I usually cut them to near center without the plate, then usually a 1/16"leather plate.  

I would like to be able to cut the arrows down to around 27.5 to 28" if possible.

A couple more questions:
- Are the grizzlysticks really worth the money? I'd like to hear more about them. They sure do look nice!
- Any opinions on the AD Trad heavy arrows?
- Are the CE Heritage shafts tapered? Without excessive point loading will these shafts tune in a wide range of bows?
-Any experiences with weight tubes? Do they effect the spine?

My bow is 56 #'s @ 28", so I'm probably pulling 52#'s or so and beman ics hunter 400's fly really good out of it

The CE Heritages will need a lot of point weight tuning, if ya want a carbon that will tune with the least amount of point weight changing go with the ADs, but ya still will need to experiment. Shawn

The A.D. Trad heavies are my favorite arrow. I shoot them out of a 55# reflex/deflex with a 160 grain Simmon's and they fly beautifully.

the sitkas aint really worth the money. i like em, but they aint as tough as i would like for them to be...

I must just be lucky with my CE heritage. I have never had to front load my arrows with all kinds of point weight to get great arrow flight. Maybe my arrows are longer, 30", they fly beautiful out of my bows ranging from 51# - 58#. My points are 145 grain, but I have used 125 & 175 grain with no difference in arrow flight, just impact point. I would think your bows are heavier poundage, it should make up the spine difference with the shorter shaft length.

I shoot Gold Tip traditionals 35-55 out of my Pronghorn at 55#. I can adjust my weight with tubes by 2, 3, or 5 grains per inch. With 5 gpi and steel broadhead adapters behind 125 Magnus they go to 685 grains total and fly awesome and are devastating. Good luck.

You might want to try the patriot carbon arrows I use the 50-55 with a 100 grain brass insert and 175 grain tips they fly well work in most of my bows and best of all are cheap!!! You can get them thru Git-r-done Archery they are a sponser here and Dennis is a great guy to deal with  Good Luck Delin
