I could use some help with my setup. Can't seem to hit it just right.
1. 28" (nock groove to b.o.p.) Vapor Carbonwood
2. 28" (nock groove to b.o.p.) CE Heritage 150
3. 60" Chaparral Kaibab II: 52# @ 28" (drawn to  about 26.5"); 5180? string
4. 56" Bear Grizzly: 50# @ 28" (26.5" draw) Dacron B50 string
5. Zwickey 4-blade 125gr
6. 25 grain insert
7. 75 grain adapter or 100 grain brass insert with 25 grain adapter?
In short, how much weight do I need up front?

I would say from your set up your arrows are too stiff.I have found that for me carbon responds much better to length than weight to correct spine.I would encourage folks to start full length bareshafting carbon and cut 1/4 at a time.Carbon works much better for me if I am not concerned about arrow length.Sorry if this help is too little too late.

Well, I think they act too limber. They seem to wag tail-left.
Thanks,
Dan

I would think cut 28"s you will need at least 250 grains up front. I shoot the Heritage 150s out of a 54# at 28'.5" Arroyo and they are cut to 29.5"s and I shoot 175 grains up front and my bow is very high performance and cut well -past center. I am sure they are stiff and ya need at least 250 or 275 up front. Shawn

Thanks, Shawn.  I'll try the 100 grain brass inserts + 25 grain adapter + 125 grain Zwickey to = 250 grains. I'll load that up tonight & get back with results. I was shooting really well with some 29" tapered Cedar footed with Purple Heart, but had to let them go to a buddy I recently converted from training wheels. That's a beautiful arrow setup, especially since it flies so well & is so durable up front.
