Hey Guys,
it looks like everyone had a great time!   :knothead:
Luke, you certainly made some great shots!  Good for you Nick, finally getting the hang of bow-fishing.
Cary, I wouldn't expect anything less than  you getting the biggest fish!
Jake I hear you were dozing off quite nicely around the campfire, taking the well deserved randr from the hard days spent at the office.   :knothead:   Manny, for the record, I do believe they were your shorts LOL!   :biglaugh:

Good Friends and Good Times,

I don't have any pictures to throw in the pot, but I had a great weekend, despite how close I came to losing a few toes. It was great seeing you guys again, and finally putting a face to Manny's name.

I'm sure one of these years the weather will cooperate perfectly, but until then, we'll still be having a great time making do with whatever we're given.

Cary, thanks for the invite and i'll deffinatly be there for carp-a-palloza III. I had a great time and should have stayed longer (I'm sure the wife would have understood;-) ). You got the biggest fish with a great shot, should I say it was expected? Tom, I'm glad I met some who loves their coffee as much as I do and thats for the coaching, always appreciated. Luke, you definatly out shot us, but I expect that from you. You will have big things in your future. Manny, this is just the start, keep in touch, my door is always open. I might even have a present for you. you seemed to enjoy the arrows I made. I have loads of extras (douglas fir if you don't mind). Jake it was good seeing you again, and you are always welcome at my place. You know how to get here.  Again, my only regret was leaving early!

Nick

Patience

Luke, I just noticed that nothing was mentioned about the dance. He realy was pissed and wanted a piece of you. I'm sure you didn't notice, but I was keeping my distance while peeing myself laughing. You'll look back on that and have a good laugh, trust me, I have been.

B.O.D.

You see all it was like this...Windy, shallow water, lots of smoke from busting-out carp...Well Luke made a magnificent shot on a large shadow...it was only when the HUGE head of a snapper came out of the water, hissing and pissed at Luke that we all laughed our collective a$$es off! LOL
He was truly dancing, hence his new name, "Dances with Turtles"   :)       :)    HA HA HA, that young fella can bust a move let me tell you.

Luke Vander Vennen

That thing came AT me! It was after blood, I tell you. Thankfully I remembered my dignity, and calmly exited the scene. The only scary scene was when my knee almost put a hole through my forehead.

I'm thinking Luke, an animated version of you dancing...might end up being the new "Dancing baby"  :p    :p    :clapper:    :jumper:

And Nick, this WAS Carp-a-palooza III, you'll be back for "IV" I hope! ;0 ;0

THE FOREST WITCH

Hey Luke,
I have a big snapping turtle that goes across my front yard to lay her eggs.  If you end up for a visit at Witch Manor, I'll make sure that you are not allowed to go off the deck.   It might be too dangerous!    :scared:    :scared:

Hey guys,  just to give you an update, there were a couple of deer right in my yard over the last two  days...  I guess they know that they don't have to have any fear of tradgang members being present!!!   ;)

Well Cary, I guess that you better start putting the next shoot on the drawing board because it sounds like the numbers will be growing with new guests showing up...   :saywhat:    :)

Everyone, I hope that you all have a great weekend and the weather is supposed to be better!!!

I don't choose the deer, the deer chooses me.

B.O.D.

The deer hunt will happen...been scouting out some new and potentially big buck areas!
prolly late Oct.

They are saying the prime chase this year will be in mid to the third week of Oct; With an early rut taking place.

BTW, the moth in one of the pics is a Giant Leopard Moth from the tiger moth family.
