I want to try my hand at making glass longbows so how do i get started? How much will I have to spend on the "stuff" i need? Is there a place that has kits online? -Scotty E

The stuff you need.... 1 sheet plywood, 3/4 inch.  2 1.5"'48"x .25" strips of aluminum, cork to cover the form and the aluminum.  10-15 "C" clamps.  Take your time on the form, make it right and smooth.  I can send you a copy of mine if you want (58-62" r/d longbow).  glue, lams pieces, riser block and 'glass usually run me about $150-$180, depending on the wood.  Could go cheaper than that.  All said and done, I'd say $300 or less...  then all I use to form my bow is a bandsaw (count on buying a new blade afterward) and a belt sander.  Try looking at  http://www.geocities.com/salampsio/index.html  one of my favorate websites, this guy makes some amazing bows on his porch.
