I have a red wing hunter 52" 50#@28 I have it set at 7 3/4" right now. But every so often I get a pop out of it. What would be too much?

If you're measuring from the deep part of the handle, then 7 3/4" sounds a little low. I'd guess 8- 8 1/2 would be about right.

Someone who knows for sure will find this if you wait a while.

I would also guess right around 8.5" would be MUCH better.
