Can anyone tell me how many stands a Dynaflight 97 string should be for a 50lb and under recurve?  I was going to buy one, but it's only 10 strands, and I don't know if that's correct for this bow weight.  Thanks, Paul.

10 is fine.  I have 2 low 50#'s bows with 8 strand D97 strings.  In fact, I've seen some folks use 6.  The issue becomes how your nocks fit and how it feels on your fingers.

DP 10-12 with padded loops will do just fine for a D97.

Thanks, guys.  I really need some strings, these are a good deal.  Glad to know they will work!  Paul

That will work fine,I make all mine the same 12 strands with 2 strands per bundle in the loop ends even my 55# Savanah.I make them the same for a consistent nock fit,I had a 10 strand on the Savanah but did not see a big differnce over the 12 strand.I had to add a couple of strands under the serving,it's just easier to make them al the same and 12 strands is strong enough for up to a 100# bow.
