In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

el greco, why don't you post some pictures on the trad history, collectors forum?A couple years ago, someone was making one and a few seemed to be familiar with others that had.

I talked to Big Jim late last year and he put me on his list for a black maple A riser. Told him I'd hold out until he came across something "unique". He shot me a text late last week and this one is currently sitting in the local Post Office waiting to be picked up on Tuesday. Love the "carmel swirl".

el greco, your bow sure has the 'makings of a 'lunch box' signature bow'.  Mike, that is a fine looking handle.  You sure know how to find them.

El Greco:  There is a fella who made several high end copies of Bear TD risers.  I can't remember his name, but I know Zepnut on this site, owns one or two of them and does know the builder.  Your riser may be one of his.

My goodness that's GORGEOUS!!

I'd love to have one just like it in 45 pounds.

That riser is awesome!!!

Had to make a new armguard for myself for this season.
Found some glow in the dark compasses that are liquid filled and the green reminds me of the minty green strips.

Food for thought.....
I've wanted a Bear T/D since I was a kid. Back in the early 1980's I worked in an Archery/Bait&Tackle shop. We ordered our bows through Bowhunter's Warehouse. A Bear Kodiak T/D cost $275... (A lot of money for a young kid, I'd bought cars & trucks for that price) It cost about the same as the top of the line compound!
Last year, I ordered a new one from Big Jim!!! The $800 was money well spent... A 40 year dream, that finally came true!!!
If you want one, spend the money...
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!
