Well, I haven't had much time to hunt so far... Tyler's Football team is doing VERY WELL!!! However, The late night practices & weekend games have the poor kid (& ME) EXHAUSTED!!! LMAO!

Good thing is, I have been shooting my new Two Tone "A" handle EVERY DAY!!!!! Now Folks... This is an EXTREMELY rare fore me!!! As some of you well know, Old Woodchucker is a VERY superstitious Indian!!!!! Going back to my old compound days, MANY years ago, I'd go out to practice & have one of those BAD days... "It CAN'T be me??? I was busting nocks YESTERDAY!!! SO... I'd fiddle with the sights & soon my bow was as screwed up as ever!!! Then, I tossed the sights... Nothing to screw around with & screw up, RIGHT????? WRONG!!!!! What happened was, my confidence would be SEVERELY shaken!!! I go out & miss shot after "dead nuts" shot, at Deer all season!!! When I got back into "Traditional" Bowhunting about 20 years ago, I solved the problem. Deer Season opened..... Practice STOPPED!!!!! I'd always carry a blunt or Judo in my quiver for stumps or squirrels, but serious "out back" target practice, was put on hold. Hey, after all... I was "In there" all year!!! Think what you may, it worked for me.

Well My Friends, This year is "different".....

With my best friend & hunting buddy "busy" and a brand new bow on the rack, "The Itch" just needs to be scratched. So every day, I take my new "A" handle T/D out to play!!! Poor "Buddy the Button Buck" is looking PRETTY SAD!!! (OK so his horns fell off... They were too big for his head & they made him look STUPID!!!) EVERY shot, is in the deer target, and most of them are right in the boiler-room!!!!! Needless to say, when the time comes, I'm READY!!!!!

My confidence has NEVER been this high before!!!!!       :archer:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!

I've been using a green stripe for most of the season but I just picked up a pair of #2 white tip limbs that make a 58", 48# bow on my A two-tone handle.  This is a very sweet setup and shoots like a dream.  The green stripe is going back on the wall for a while.

My Red Stripe with #2 Rose Oak limbs.

Just got a 2 tone B riser from Big Jim and ordered another set of #2s, Love the #2s.

Havent taken anything with it yet. Had a 25 yard shot at a turkey this morning but it was a near miss. I personally like the "birthmarks" makes it more unique.

Yellow Dog

I'm a big fan of the "birthmarks" too. That one is sweet. Picked up an Two Tone A riser from Big Jim a couple of months ago, told him the uglier the better

I read it and now have an "A" mag and a "B" mag riser and #2 and #3 limbs..........and they were worth every penny!!!!!!!

I saw an older LH green stripe B handle for sale a few days ago for $400. Wasn't sure if that was a fair price because I'm just not up of Bear T/Ds, but suuuure was tempted anyway!

My next bow purchase have a while to save.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

Fully anticipate shooting a Bear T/D on a coveted hog hunt this March.

Feel that Bear captured the most important feature of a bow decades ago... 'The grip'. Grips are individualistic, however the Bear standard grip is personally most accommodating.

I've sold two LH Green Stripe B's, one still in the package for $400 or $450. I thought the price was very fair.

Friend, I have noticed a variation in the grips on the Bears I own and those of others I have shot. I got a Super K earlier this year, a 2015 model, that has the best grip I have experienced on a Bear--quite different from my SK from 2014. Both SKs have a different grip feel from my Kodiak TD.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Could I get one of you with an A and B riser to measure the overall length please?  I'm curious about something. Thanks.

Caleb Monroe

I just picked up one last night. B rise #1 limbs thought it might stack but its smooth as butter to my 31" draw. Fred got it right with this one.

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.
