Ok, if you are going to buy, A handle with #3 limbs or B handle with # 1 limbs.  What are the differences in the 60" bow.

Great looking combo,Zepnut!
It is a couple of days that I have decided to use my Type1 A handle with #2 Rose Oak limbs,I find this combo smoother than the B riser with #1,same poundage.
The A riser with Brandon's limbs is as forgiving as the B.
As soon as I have my Crony ready I'll post some comparisons.
To my eye the B with the shorter limbs looks to be faster but the A with 2 is smoother.

I agree with Felix. I have four of the A risers with #3's and five of the "B" risers with #1's, all making a 60 inch bow. I feel the "B" risers are more snappy but the "A" with long limbs is smoother and more forgiving.

"Nice trifects on the pigs Randy!"

Thanks Jorge.  That's a good looking two tone riser you posted above.  I really like the ones with a "birthmark".

A few pix of my recent "A" mag refinish. I used epoxy primer and Rust-Oleum Granite Texture paint.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Just got my first ever Bear takedown. Now I understand why everyone likes them so well.

Nice job on that, Gun!

Always wondered what their Hammer paint would look like.

I have two B-risers, one in bubinga and the other a magnesium riser.   Love them both, its always hard to decide which to shoot.

I like black glass but that looks great
and I love the grip!!

I was shooting my green stripe off the shelf but I recently put on a Bear WeatherRest. My bow was made around 1984 and back in that year I bought a new takedown that came with the WeatherRest installed. It definitely made the bow shoot more consistently.

OK, was going to read all 50 pages but life to short. Has anyone tried the aftermarket limbs from Border Archery? They tend to push the envelope on design and materials. I am wondering how much that could be and if the cost is justified.

Phil Magistro

I have not. But I will say that the new Bear limbs are very different than the older ones. Smooth and excellent performers. Probably won't match a Border but won't be far behind.
