Don't care much for the compasses, but those are some nice looking risers!!!
Patiently waiting for them to change the red stripe to something else.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

jcar315,
Let's see a photo of that entire riser, please. The close up makes it look like it is probably a very beautiful combination of woods.

Gun have you put your hands on the Bubinga riser, pretty nice and is reminiscent if I am correct of the first B riser (no.1)  that was created by Bear.

Just got back from Wisconsin Tom. Couldn't find one at any dealers to even look at. Maybe someone will have one at our provincial Trad shoot in August.

Being a recent fan of bear td's I got a couple magnesium risers, an a and a b. They are a lot of fun. But then I got a new red stripe bubinga b riser, using older red tip limbs #3 at 43#. It shoots very sweet. And man what a difference 3/16 makes to brace height! I was shooting just under 8 brace and went to 8 1/4 and wow. I love it.

Cacciatore-

I hope this may help you:

Wapiti bows and limbs are made by Keith Chastain in Colorado. His bows are known for their speed and smoothness especially at longer draw lengths.

The tight radius recurve tip on the Chastain Wapiti bows derives from the bows made by Jean Louthan in the (circa) 1950's and from the "fish hook" recurve tips that were made by Frank Eicholtz. The idea is to try to make a limb smoother drawing by making the recurve open up later in the draw, which a tight radius recurve and a longer limb will do.

The sleight "wavy-limb" profile in a Chastain limb is an application of the limb designs made by Bill Stewart in his Multi-Cam bows. The idea is that the "wave" or "cam" in a longer limb and the tight radius recurve will cause the bow to break over similar to a compound bow, especially at longer draw lengths.

The limbs on my Bear T/D bows are all made by Chastain. I find them superior to the newer Bear T/D limbs. I've been shooting Bear bows for decades both one piece and T/D's and while I think the shooting characteristics of the older one piece 60" + bows are excellent, I have never really liked the feel of the T/D limbs. I can't objectively comment on the new new one piece bows, as I don't own any.

Thanks for your review.
I know Keith personally, but I have never tryed his aftermarket limbs for the Bear TD,I had some of his bows though.

Cacciatore-

I believe that the fact that Keith actually can do about anything bow related is an "unadvertised special". He has made aftermarket limbs for quite some time.

By the way, do you like his bows??

My friend just received his new Bubinga T/D. He went out and ordered it after shooting my Red Stripe.

Just received a new set of limbs for my B-Red Stripe. 3rivers sent me a set of 53lb limbs when I ordered 55lb. I can see how the mistake was made. The limbs were 55lb on an A riser, 53lb on a B. A quick email and they have pulled the correct set and will swap them out with me ASAP. 3Rivers takes care of their customers.

Congrats on the turkey (Trad #55?? right?) and piggies Sam!!!

Nala,
Stay away from Sam!  He will infect you with the Fred Bear Bug!!  :)  LOL!!  Seriously, you should take Sam up on his offer.  He's a great guy and will help you out lots!!  I caught Bear-itus from him, but don't regret it one bit!!  :)
Have a nice day!
