I received my box from Doug today from the raffle, and found some beautiful piecies of rock in there, an ishi stick, a leather pad and a pair of gloves.  I have also set up a day and time to meet with Woody to learn how to use all these things......lol.  To say I am more excited than a kid at xmas would be very under rated.  I am so looking forward to meeting him and learning from a true master.  Wish me luck, and hopefully I will have some pictures to share next week.  Now where did I put those bandaids, superglue and ducktape....hehehehhehe

Bring a 5 gallon bucket, too.  You'd be surprised at how much blood you've got and I'm picky about my shop floor.  GGG  See you next week!    :wavey:    ;)

LOL

Stringstretcher you are a lucky man to get to spend time with a rock artist like Woody. Absorb man, absorb all you can.
There is always someone that knows more than you, and someone that knows less than you, so you can always learn and you can always teach

Glad they got there in one piece Charles, ya never know when ya ship em. Wet that hunk of leather and form it over your leg fore ya head to Woody's. I had to bend it pretty good to fit in the bow.

And yap I envy you getting to sit across from the Master. Like Mickey says soak in all you can!

Doug

Oh yea the industrial size bandaids and super glue are the best way to go  ;)

LOL....industrial size....thats what I am talking about.  This will be a blessing and an honor to meet Woody.  He is lucky that I found out this late that he lives real close to me....otherwise.....I might have been addopted by now...hehehhee

You are one lucky man, Charles. Now you can make some points to go with those selfbows you been building.
Next time you need a stave maybe we can do a swap?
Good luck, bud, keep us posted!
