For hunting I prefer a bow quiver my arrows are always with my bow and I find the extra wieght actually helps my shooting. I found back and hip quivers noisy and always in the way. I use a Thunderhorn and I like it better than my Selway but if wiegth is a problem there are a lot of great 3 arrow quivers out there

When I shot compound, I used a bow quiver.  Not long after I switched to trad, my brother-in-law made me a back quiver out of a skin-on whitetail hide.  Wouldn't go back to a full bow quiver now for nothing.  I do like the ace-in-the hole type quiver from Black Widow.

Depends on the situation, for me. Back quiver for field shoots & 3Ds, bow quiver for hunting, hip qiver for target shoots, back pocket for shooting about in the garden!

I echo robtattoo.  I use the same type quivers for the same purposes, except I don't have a garden to shoot in so I don't have a pocket quiver.

Quiver Caddy for big game hunting.  Still like a back quiver or side quiver when after rabbits, gophers or stumpin' and 3-D shoots.  But Quiver Caddy's rule!

I could have wrote the same thing elk ninja did and he has it right as far as I am concerned.   The only thing I would add to his list is I have never left my bow behind, but I have left a quiver some place a time or two.  So with it attached it is one less thing to remember when I am in a hurry or scatter-brained or both.

I use a hip quiver for practice and shooting in the yard.  Back quiver sometimes for 3-d shoots, hopefully I will only shoot the arrow I'm carrying in my hand.  For hunting I'm currently using the simmons system quiver which I like very much.  I've also used a great northern bow quiver hunting and liked it well also.

TRADITIONAL ONLY

right now im usin a Thunderhorn boa strap on quiver, its alright but in june when i got to the Howard Hill Southeastern Championship im goin to buy a Great Northern strap on quvier.
ive got a back quiver and i like it on my longbow, but on my recurve ie nver shot ti with out a quiver on it and the arrows rustling while hunting is not good so im stickin with the bow quiver..

I use a hip quiver for 3D/target shooting, and a quikee quiver for hunting.  I don't like the weight of a quiver on the bow when shooting, but like the convenience of having my arrows with the bow.  So while the quikee quiver rattles if I shoot with it on I use it to transport arrows and then take it off at my stand.  I think I'm gonna rig some parachute cord so I can carry it at my side this season if I want.  I would like to get a nice back quiver though.  And a sidekick quiver from Steve Catts-they're beautiful.  And maybe an Asbell style quiver.  And...
