I've had one for about two & 1/2 years. That's it on the hog in my avatar.

Been my go to hunting bow since I've had it. Typical Shrew. They fit your hand like a glove & hit where you're looking if you do your part.

They  shoot hard & fast. I have no regrets at all about buying it.

Cody, I think that was Fred Bear that said that but Howard may have said it first.    :readit:

I'm just kidding you about the hybrid thing, shoot whatever turns your crank.

I've had my Super Shrew Gold for a couple years now and love it. It is a great shooting bow that is soooo quiet. Hardly a whisper.

I will never be without a Super Shrew.

Cheers,
Donavan

Larry-
Is the Shrew you mentioned killing that hog with the same one I bought from you last fall?

Curious is all...
Still need to make meat with it myself.

David
Hunting with the bow and arrow involves earning your way by making meat, getting your hands messy in the process and then recognizing your own reflection upon them.

Roger, every time I see Danny he's grown another couple inches. Sure ain't no fat on that boy..all muscle. I'll bet he could tote two 5gal buckets of water up that steep hill from the creek without breakin a sweat.      :saywhat:  ....    :goldtooth:

Ron - that picture is from last fall, too. Wait until you see him at Compton...I took him into the Secretary of State Friday for his drivers license, he is now 2 inches taller than me, about 165 pounds of Lacrosse playing beast. My cousin gave him a saturday job on his construction crew, just as labor, and saturday he dug a 20x3 foot trench through clay, and filled it with 4 tons of pea gravel. He came home and ate an entire 1/2 of my wild turkey breast, and 2 pork chops. Those 5 gallon buckets of water that whip me wouldn't phase him at all!   :scared:

Thank God he's a good kid, I'm not sure I can take him anymore!

Cody,

I have a Shrew Gold that a bought new in 2005.

Mine is 56" and 46lb@25".  It shoots very smooth with no stacking. I liked it so much, I put down my heavy riser recurve and got a Shrew Deluxe with Maple accent stripes in the riser.  It too is a great shooter.

Everyone says they are great hunting bows, but I like mine for hunting and 3D.  I put a bow quiver on mine to bring up the mass a bit and like shooting them that way.
