I see that Easton Legacy shafts have the spine marked on them.  a legacy 2216 shaft is marked 65/70.  Fox fire archery spine charts show the xx75 2216 spines out at 84#.  I need 65-70 shafts and 84# spine won't work for my bow.  what is the difference between 2216 legacy and 2216 XX75 shafts?

Mongo45, I am still trying to figure out why people use a wood arrow spine tester to spine aluminum shafts. The 2216 size is what I used for years from my 66lb. BW without FF. Take a look at Easton`s chart. It may not be for everyone and I see a lot of Easton charts being bashed around. I donot know what kind of bow you have, recurve or long bow but that can make a difference also. The chart should get you to within one size. Also try a test drive kit that some offer. Also Black widow sells shafts by the each for testing.

This may help you, I use 2018 legacy cut to 28" bop with 125 out front....
I shoot these with my 52# howard Hill Longbow.

I shoot eastons 2020 shafts out of a longbow. Easton has these marked 60-65lbs. I cut these to 28 1/2. I pull to 28" the bow is 72lb@28 and these arrows seem to do good. 2216 also will shoot okay out of this bow, but it is 72#@28 1/8 from center on the shelf and fastflight string, hope this helps

I shoot Legacy 2020's cut 29", three 5 1/2" fletch and 125gr points from my 55# Cari-bow Silver Fox and 58# Griffin, I draw 28 1/2". They fly perfectly. Both bows are Fast Flight, the Cari-bow is center shot.

The difference in spine from the Kelly chart to the Easton chart is that Easton uses 28" center versus the 26" centers of the Kelly chart.  Wood arrows are always spined at 26" centers.  Here is another really good spine chart for the Legacy Shafts.   http://home.att.net/~sajackson/eastonlegacy.html

I shoot 2117 Legacys out of my longbow at 55# to my 57 and 60# Recurves. I draw 27" and have my 2117's cut and swagged to 28.5". They fly perfectly with 125 and 160 grain broadheads.

thanks guys. I shoot a wesley special 65@28 but i'm drawing 29 inches.  I also shoot a 64 inch Robertson Purist longbow 66@28.  I'm looking ot go to aluminum as i don't have the time to put into making woodies anymore.
