Decided I wanna try a particular brand of broadhead, but they they aren't available in a 5/16 shaft size.

Is there anything wrong with glueing up a 11/32 broadhead to a 5/16 shaft?  I've heard of some people doing it and not having any bad results, but I wanted to hear from some of yall fellas, before I started slinging glue around.

I have done it, should not be a problem as long as it sits right

The arrow has a kind of "over bite" but I guess it would work.  I think it would tend to pull bits out of a target.

Glue 'em on and don't give it another thought.  I shoot a lot of 5/16 and have been doing it for years.  It works great.  I feel it makes for a stronger head to shaft junction as there is not a hard stress line at that point.    

Most carbon shafts are 5/16". I've been shooting 11/32" ferrule broadheads on Beman and Easton carbons for several years. The only problem is finding the arrows after they blow through whatever animal I just shot.  

i was sent a set of clear water compressed cedar shafts they are less than 15/16 and i put 175gr Ace broadheads on them 11/32 furels shoot like a dart out of my Bamboo bow called Honey from OZ just went back to her last week and i am amazed at how those arrows group .as lonmg as they ar in the center of the furrel no proble that i can see and on a live animal the bigger cutting area will make the skinny shafts slide right on through-- herb
