alligator gar skins?

Anyone ever skinned a bow with gar skin or seen a quiver made out of it?

I have seen both, but I have never done it myself. Both looked good to me.

few issues back in traditional bowhunter mag., they backed a bow with gar and carp skins.

There was an article in Primitive archer back in September that had gar skins for backing. I'll have to see if I can dig it up.

it may have been primitive archer that i was thinking of cause that time frame sounds right.
