i have a 52lb bow coming..

Should I try 3555 or CX Heritage 150 ?

Arrow length 30"'s???

KELLEY40

I'm shooting full lenght GT hunters 35/55 out of my 43# liberty longbow.I'm using 145 grain heads.

IMO the CX is a tougher shaft. Also heavier.

Carbon express all the way.I shot carbonwoods( an affiliate or sister company of Gt) and will never again.I'll go back to aluminum before them.I love carbon express I've seen a heritage take a frontal impact with rocks on more than one occasion that came out fine.

Hope this helps.
Dont shoot feather light arras, shoot railroad ties.

I believe the gt are 5 wraps the CE is 7, tougher,Yes!
At $45.00 a dozen i bought 2 dozen GT and shot 2 rounds 40 targets each yesterday and a couple took some abuse and had no problems.

I like the looks of GT traditionals plus the diameter of them. They are tough enough. Any arrow will break with the right impact. If you like them then it don't matter what everyone else likes. Carbon will always outlast aluminum or wood. Some people think an arrow should last for life. It won't. Any material will eventually stress out a fail.

I like the CE shafts better but I get the GT's much cheaper so I got me a couple dozen GT's for general shooting and a few CE's for hunting.

Mitch looks like carbon express Bud. I'll have to go get some myself.I was happy with the GT's though. CE's are better? Wow.

I've got some CarbonExpress Terminator Hunters that I have shot, missed, and bounced off of all sorts of things for six years now. I've lost more than I've broke. Only broke a couple - end split. It seems the Buff Tough camo layer they put on them really increases the shafts toughness. I've got some regualar Terminators that don't have the BuffTough and they don't seem to be as tough.

I am shooting the Carbon Ex[press Heritage 150s. If your bow is cut any past cenetr, I say 30" shaft 50 grain brass insert and 125 grain point will fly awesome. i am shooting that same set-up out of 3 of my bows from 50-54#s with great flight. Only difference is mine are cut to 29.5"s. Very tough and priced right. I PM'ed ya! Shawn

I shoot both... Full length out of all my bows, I would go with the CX dont cut them and put in 100 gr brass inserts with 125gr tips the shoot like laser beams from my 52# pronghorn...

How are Carbon experess arrows sized? I know GT's are 35/55 and 55/75, but am unfamiliar cx's. Any help? I shoot both a 57 and 52# Pronghorns

I used to work in a large archery only business up until last fall. We sold GT and CX. I would only use the CX shafts.

We used to have a lot of trouble with getting the GT's from the manufacturer and the QC wasn't great. I heard from the rep we dealt with that they were switching carbon suppliers and they were having some issues with them.
