Does anyone know of any cheap, easily obtainable  material to make aerial targets from..I have no experiance with them but wanted to try it.
Flu-flus all made up and ready to go.

Cheap is milk jugs and soda bottles filled with the plastic shopping bags. Good with blunts or field tips.

Saw this on a Fred Bear tip thing somewhere and it works great. We just get some old boxes and cut them to the shape we desire and duct tape( glue would work to) three or four together..works for cheap college kids anyway.. There is also a nice looking thrower on the classifieds.

For years I have collected computer paper boxes at work. I then break them down. Slather on the carpenters glue between about four to five boxes, depending on how thick and heavy you want the targets. Then I lay them on the garage floor with some weight plates on them. Come back the next day and I draw the circles and cut them out with a jig saw. These targets are super durable. I have some I have had for years. You can use then in a thrower or roll them along the ground for rabbit shots. Cheap, easy, durable and loads of fun. I can shoot these by myself, nock an arrow then roll the disk. For hard shot try and shoot the edge as it rolls away, or for easier shot wait till the target starts to turn and shoot broadside. Best way to throw the targets is to hold the target between your thumb and pointer finger then curl your arm up and let it fly.

Joe, just curious......are these targets really that durable or is it that they just don't get hit that much!!!!  Just kidding.  We have some discs made from ethafoam.  My brother made a large (9" or so dia) "cookie" cutter and just cut circles from the foam sheets.  Work well and are "really durable".  They don't roll too well though 'cause they're quite light.  I think the cardboard would be better for rolling targets.

I used some scrap foam from where I work. Most everything in packed in foam these days. I have since used spray paint to add a black dot to the center.
